Since his move to London in 2005, Wesley has established himself as an itinerate drummer.

Experienced within the London Jazz, New Orleans, and World Music scene. Wesley has featured on The Darius Brubeck Quartet’s last two albums (‘For Lydia and the Lion’ / ‘Two and Four/To and Fro’) and toured in England, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and across Europe with the quartet since it’s London inception in 2007.

Aside from DBQ, Wesley works with a number of collectives including Barak Schmool’s ‘Rhythms of the City’ which is a teaching and performing school specializing in Rio-style Samba.

Other personal projects include ‘The Irreverents’ featuring Zac Gvirtzman and Fransesc Marco as well as extensive touring in Europe and the UK with acclaimed British New Orleans and Blues piano player TJ Johnson.

Wesley’s roots also keep him involved with UK based African musicians and have performed and toured with Netsayi, SA Gospel Singers, Lucky Ranku, Pinise Saul and Afla Sackey.

Teaching credits include the head of drums at Ukusa at the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
