About Svetlana Feshchenko
I graduated a music school (7 years) where I learned piano, ensemble, solfeggio, music literature and choir. After that I graduated a music college with specialisation ‘piano’ (4 years) . The curriculum was based on the Russian system of education which is all about right hand position, quality of sound, rich harmonisation in playing by ear.
My second diploma was in specialisation in cultural management as I am interested in process of organising my own business. While I was working in my home country in a music school I made a few projects such as jazz school concerts/classical children concerts/graduation concert for parents and students/Teacher Day’s Concert. In 2005 I won a nomination for “The Best Cultural Project” in collaboration with the Lithuanian Cultural Institute. In 2007 I got the certificate from the International Jazz Festival-Competition “Jazz-Improvizacija” in Vilnius. I took part in a few competitions with my students and got some diplomas from it as well. I had an experience as a piano teacher and piano accompanist as well. I used to accompany strings, woodwind/brass, ballet classes.
From 2012 to 2017 I have been working in the UAE as a piano teacher and assistant to a managing director. It was the best chapter in my music career book. I trained a lot of students from all over the world, different levels and all ages from 4 years old to 60. In 2014 I was involved in taking part in organising a children’s competition-festival in Al-Ain which gave me a lot of experience in managing such an event. During that time in UAE I organised a lot of music appreciation workshops/composition workshops/special lectures devoted to Children Album by Tchaikovsky etc. After UAE I moved to London in October 2017 with my family. In February 2018 I am a postgraduate student of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and very excited to have an experience in UK now.
